Proposition 65 is also known as the Safe Drinking and Toxic Enforcement Act. It is a California law passed in 1986 that requires businesses to provide a warning notice to citizens if significant amounts of certain chemicals are present in the products they purchase, are found in a public facility or place of employment. New OEHHA regulations, adopted in August 2016 and that will take full effect in August 2018, change the safe harbor warnings which are deemed to comply with the law in several meaningful ways.
Prop 65 is a "right to know" law, and it intends to keep Californians updated on the chemicals they may be exposed to. HCL offers a wide variety of Prop 65 signs and labels. These labels are industry-specific so look for the one that best suits your needs.
