Due to the nature of their work, chemistry laboratories are at an increased risk of accidental fires. To mitigate this risk, the installation of fire abatement sprinklers is not just recommended but essential, especially in often unattended areas. These sprinklers provide superior fire protection in both laboratory environments and general warehouse settings. To ensure their optimal functionality, a minimum vertical clearance of 18 inches must be maintained below the sprinklers at all times, as mandated by OSHA regulation 1910-159(c)(10).

Place a label on the ceiling next to each sprinkler head as a reminder to keep the required clearance.
